How to Add a New Contractor User

Adding new contractor users to Mapall is a straightforward process that helps in managing project assignments and communications efficiently. Follow these detailed steps to ensure that every new user is added correctly to your system.

System Access

Sign In to MapAll: Access the MapAll platform by typing the following address in your browser: https://live.mapall.com/auth.

1. Log into your Admin Panel: Start by logging into the administrative interface where you manage settings.


2. Navigate to Contractor Settings: On the top menu, click on the “Contractors” option to expand it and reveal more options.


3. Select Contractor Users: Within the Contractors dropdown, click on “Contractor Users” to access the user settings for contractors.Accessing Contractor User Settings2

4. Select Contractor Company:

At the top of the Contractor Users section, you’ll see a dropdown labeled "Select contractor." Click on this dropdown to select the contractor company for which you want to add new users. 

 

5. Assign a User Type:

  • First Name: Enter the first name of the user.
  • Last Name: Enter the last name of the user.
  • Email Address: Provide the email address of the user, which will be used for system notifications and logins.
  • Phone Number: Optionally, you can add a phone number for direct contact.

Next to the user details, you’ll find options to select the user type. You can choose between “Office,” “Technician,” or more specific roles like “Project Manager” or “Defect Manager,” depending on what fits the user's duties.

 

6. Add User:

After filling in all the details and selecting the appropriate user type, click the “Add User” button to create a new user account. Once the new user is created, a link will be sent to the registered email to confirm the account and update the password.

This user will now be listed under the "Current users" section at the bottom of the page.

Managing Current Users

  • View and Edit Current Users: In the “Current users” section, you can view all users associated with the selected contractor. Here, you can resend invitations, manage roles, or remove users if necessary.
  • Search Functionality: Use the search bar to quickly find specific users by name or contact information.

Finalising and Reviewing

After adding a user, it’s good practice to review the user details for accuracy. Ensure that the roles assigned are appropriate for the tasks they will handle. Regular audits of user roles and permissions can help maintain security and efficiency in project management.
