This guide outlines all of the information a technician user needs to know to complete a Walk In Survey job in MapAll, on the app.
1. Check in to the job
Tap the relevant Walk In Survey job from the list of jobs in the Job Inbox, then tap the Check In button to check in to the job.
2. Select a premise
Tap the premise for which you wish to report details:
3. UPRN details
In the "UPRN details" screen, fill in the following UPRN details:
- UPRN number (text)
- UPRN name (text)
Tap the "Confirm Details" button to continue.
4. Update home details
In "Update home details" screen, fill in the following home details:
- Total number of connections (number)
- Number of floors in the building (number)
- Average number of homes per floor (number)
- Lead in details (dropdown, single choice)
- Cable fed from pole, spanned across to building (option)
- Duct feeds into the basement of the building (option)
- Underground duct feeding building terminates at the edge of the building and goes into trunking (option)
- Direct Buried (option)
- Openreach Toby (option)
- Additional notes (text, up to 255 characters)
- Upload photos of the external street facing side of the home (photos, up to 5)
- Is the cable spanned up the side of the building in trunking? (true or false)
- Is the cable spanned up the building in a riser? (true or false)
- Are there any issues at the home? (true or false)
- Issue details (text, up to 255 characters)
Tap the "Confirm Details" button to continue.
- Reporting true for "Are there any issues at the home?" will flag the premise as having issues. Field users must disclose the reason for flagging the premise as having issues in the Issue details field.
5. Review and Submit
After updating the home details in the "Update home details" screen, review the information, then press the "Confirm Details" button to conclude the submission for the premise selected in step 1.
Premises where work has not started yet will be displayed in grey (Not started);
Premises that have been already completed will be displayed in green (Completed);
Premises that have been already completed and flagged as having issues will be displayed with an alert icon (Completed with issues);
6. Complete job
Once all of the required premises have been surveyed, tab the "Complete Job" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete the job.
- It is advised to review the outboxes in the More Info tab of the navigating menu to confirm that all of the requests (user actions) have been correctly submitted to the server before the end of the working day.
