      Walk In Survey (Web Portal)

      The following guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Walk In Survey job in the Web Portal.

      Description

      A Walk-In Survey is a job type within a Survey project, designed to facilitate the managing, tracking, and reporting of the surveying of premises.

      To create a Walk-In Survey, the project map plan must include at least one asset of the type Premises. A crew is then assigned to complete the job by recording a predefined set of details while surveying each premises.

      Project Manager users can access and download a comprehensive Premises report for each surveyed premises.

       

      Notifications

      The Notifications section provides the user with the following information:

      • Total homes with issues (number)
      • A list of premises flagged as having issues, with each row displaying:
        • ID/name
        • Address

      • The user can access a comprehensive Premise report at any time by clicking on any of the premises listed in the Notifications section.
      • Field users must disclose the reason for flagging the premises as having issues in the Issue details field when reporting the premises details during the course of the job.

       

      Walk In Survey summary

      The Walk In Survey summary provides the user with a table containing details for all the premises assigned to the job.

      The table columns of the Walk In Survey summary table are as follows:

      1. Id/name;
      2. Total # of connections;
      3. # of floors in building;
      4. Average # of connections per floor;
      5. Lead details;
      6. Cable trunked;
      7. Cable in riser;
      8. Address.
      The Id/name column value will also indicate the premises job status to the left of the value:
      1. Red = Not started;
      2. Green = Completed.
      • The Id/name column values are pre-populated with the name of each premises assigned to the job.
      • If an issue is identified with the premises, an alert icon ( ! ) will be displayed to the left of the Id/name column value and the row will be highlighted in a light orange colour.
      • A comprehensive Premises report can be accessed at any given time by clicking on the relevant premises ID/name value.

       

      Map & Plan details

      The Map & Plan Details allow the users to view and interact with the various elements displayed on the map, thereby facilitating an in-depth understanding of the ongoing work and its current status.

      The following assets will be displayed on the map:

      • Premises;

      The following Map tools are available:

      1. Infrastructure layers;
      2. Hide/display layers;
      3. Map legend;
      4. Layers;
      5. Close features in area;
      6. Section position;
      7. Print map details;
      8. Stats;
      9. View in Google Maps;
      10. Toggles full-screen;
      11. Zoom on features;
      12. Zoom in;
      13. Zoom out.

      Premises where work has not started yet will be displayed in grey (Not started);

      Premises that have been already completed will be displayed in green (Completed);

      Premises that have been already completed and flagged as having issues will be displayed with an alert icon (Completed with issues);

      • To download a Premises report, select a premises on the map and click the "Details" button, which will allow the user to view and download the report, available before and after the work has been completed. 

       

      Premises report

      To download a Premises report:

      1. In the Walk In Survey summary, click the relevant premises ID/name column value to access, view and download a Premises report, available before and after the work has been submitted for the premises. 
      2. In the Map & plan details, select a premises on the map and click the "Details" button, which will allow the user to access, view and download a Premises report, available before and after the work has been submitted for the premises. 
      3. In the Notifications, click any of the premises listed as having issues to access, view and download a Premises report, available after the work has been submitted for the premises.
