MapAll Release – April 2025 | Project Subscriptions, Cable Progress & Smart Form Alerts
We’re introducing a new wave of updates aimed at enhancing your experience across the MapAll platform. These improvements bring clearer project visibility, smarter planning tools, and more effective notifications — all designed to support faster decisions and smoother operations.
New Filters and Export Options in Openreach and Reinstatement Tools
Feature Summary:
Users now have more control over how “Change of State” chambers are handled when working with Openreach-based plans — with options to delete or convert them into visual-only notes.
What’s New:
The Openreach integration now allows users to manage “Change of State” chambers in two ways:
-
Delete the chambers entirely from the imported Openreach data.
-
Convert them into map notes, which are visible on the map but cannot be edited or deleted.
These options offer greater flexibility in managing imported data and ensure that users can tailor their project view based on operational preferences.
⚠️ Note: This is the first update aimed at supporting more advanced filtering for structure changes. Further enhancements will be introduced in future updates.
2. Reinstatement Report Export with Photos
Users can now export reports from Reinstatement jobs including all associated photos. This export consolidates visual and textual data into a single, shareable report — ideal for documentation, audits, or internal reviews.
Project Update Subscription
Feature Summary:
- If a user subscribes to the main project, they will not be able to subscribe to subprojects or individual jobs.
- If a user does not subscribe to the main project, they will have the option to subscribe to individual jobs instead.
- Subprojects do not support subscriptions in any scenario.
- Notifications are sent only when the status of a project or job changes.
- Adding, publishing, editing, or deleting subprojects
- Adding, updating, deleting jobs or changing crews
Form Issues Notifications
Feature Summary:
Users can now be notified when a form fails due to reaching a pre-defined score limit (pass/fail treshold). This helps teams address non-compliant or failing submissions promptly.
Details:
How the pass/fail threshold works:
Forms that use a pass/fail threshold allow you to set up scoring criteria per page:
- Each page can have a defined maximum score (e.g., 10 points).
- Specific fields (such as Yes/No questions) can be assigned individual point values.
- For instance, if a page is set to 10 points and contains five Yes/No questions, with each "Yes" response worth 4 points, selecting "Yes" more than twice would exceed the threshold—thus causing the form to fail.
Coming soon: Further updates to this feature are scheduled for next week, bringing more flexibility and control over how thresholds are set and how results are presented.
Reinstatement Photo Download
Feature Summary:
Users now have the ability to download all photos associated with a reinstatement in just a few clicks.
Details:
A new "Download Options" button has been added to the Job Overview screen. This allows users to easily retrieve all images related to a job’s Reinstatement section – including photos taken before setup, during site setup, and after reinstatement works.
Project Overview Enhancements
Feature: Project Overview Tabs – My Projects / All Projects
The dashboard now includes clear tabs to switch between My Projects and All Projects, giving users faster access to what matters most. Whether you're tracking your own workload or monitoring team progress, navigation is now more intuitive and streamlined.
Planning Tool: Smarter Cable Management
Feature: Change Drop Cable Type or Delete Cable Only
Making updates during planning just got easier. You can now:
-
Delete a cable without removing the entire section
These update make it easier to correct mistakes, apply changes, and fine-tune plans without starting from scratch.
