We are excited to announce a series of new features and updates aimed at improving your experience with MapAll. These updates focus on enhanced integration, form management, and expanded capabilities within the MapAll Area.
Phase 1 Integration with ArcGIS
MapAll is now partially integrated with ArcGIS, allowing for seamless data sharing and collaboration between the two platforms.
This initial phase lays the groundwork for a more robust connection in the future, enabling users to leverage ArcGIS’s powerful geospatial analytics directly within MapAll.
Form Management Enhancements
1. Duplication of Forms
Managing multiple forms just got easier! You can now duplicate existing forms within MapAll, saving time when creating similar forms for different projects or teams. This feature reduces the need to recreate forms from scratch, making your workflow more efficient.
2. Increased Character Limits for Form Components
We have updated the character limits across various form components, allowing for more detailed input where needed. Whether it’s a text box, dropdown, or any other form element, you now have the flexibility to include more information without constraints.
3. Fix for Checkbox Submissions
We’ve resolved an issue where checkbox submissions were not appearing correctly in reports. Your data will now be accurately reflected, ensuring that every submission counts and is recorded as intended.
Introducing the New MapAll Area Feature
We’re thrilled to introduce a powerful new feature within MapAll: the ability to categorize areas as either “General” or “On Hold.” This addition gives you greater control over how you manage and assign features within your projects.
1. Two Area Types: “General” and “On Hold”
- General: Use this category for areas that are active and ready for work.
- On Hold: Assign features to this category when they should not be assigned to jobs. This helps in managing project timelines and resources more effectively, ensuring that only ready-to-go areas are included in the workflow.
2. Enhanced Asset Management: The Asset Summary Widget
The “Asset Summary” widget, previously available only within the planning tool, is now accessible on project and job maps. This powerful tool provides a comprehensive overview of your assets and is an essential component of effective project management.
- CSV Export Options: The Asset Summary widget offers two convenient export options:
- Overall Asset Summary: Export a comprehensive summary with totals for all assets.
- List of Individual Cables/Subducts: Get detailed lists of specific components like cables and subducts, enabling precise tracking and documentation.
These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing increasingly effective tools tailored to our users' needs. We hope these new features help optimise your work and boost your productivity.
